Pure Religion Before God -Part III (Quotes)

"Children are great imitators. So give them something great to imitate."(unknown)

"Children are the hands by which we take hold of heaven." -Henry Beecher

"Let us be the ones who say we do not accept that a child dies every three seconds simply because he does not have the drugs you and I have. "Every child you encounter is a divine appointment." -Wess Stafford

"Nothing that you have not given away will ever truly be yours." C.S. Lewis

"When a poor person dies of hunger, it has not happened because God did not take care of him or her. It has happened because neither you nor I wanted to give that person what he or she needed." -Mother Teresa

"Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter." -Martin Luther King Jr.

The Last quote I have is from a tombstone inscription in England. "For the Lord Jesus Christ's sake, Do all the good you can, To all the people you can, In all the ways you can, As long as ever you can."

hi friend!
first, this post is so great, like, great times a million! :)
i volunteer in the summer at a camp for kids that have been in the foster care system - and i love the quote: 'An aware parent loves all children he or she interacts with — for you are a caretaker for those moments in time.'
second, thank you so much for writing that to me on my blog. not preachy or boring at all, very encouraging!! im glad i'm not the only one who gets confused about who God is! {wink} and the verses/quotes were perfect and helped!
third, just from what you told me, that does sound like a long week! i hope that the car got fixed and you got all the boxes and such moved! love to hear more about that interesting week at our next blog coffee date! :) praying that you will be rested this coming week, friend!
